People often hesitate to approach me for help because they are concerned about a consult fee. They are relieved to find out that I do not charge a fee to meet with clients.
As a licensed agent, I am paid a commission by an insurance company if I sell one of their plans. Commissions are built into ANY rate quote you will receive. If you call Company ABC and ask about Plan X, you will almost always receive the exact same rate you received from me, and if not, I’ll explain the reason for the difference.
Commissions will be paid to either a captive agent who sells for only one company or to an independent agent like me who can show you the plans and rates of multiple companies. Rest assured, we will be looking at all the options together so you know you are choosing your benefits wisely!
Sometimes, a client may already be in the optimal plan for their situation. Even though I may leave without having sold a policy, the client will have a better understanding of their current coverage and hopefully refer their friends to me - a success for us both!
